    Stretch and Strengthen

    One-hour, Tuesdays and Fridays, 10:00 held at LaGrua Center, Stonington, designed to assist older adults in maintaining their lifestyle and independence. By increasing strength and flexibility, you also improve your balance. Class includes use of small hand weights, bands, and steppers.

    Strength and Fitness

    A one-hour individual or small group class to improve your balance as well as your posture and gait. No pills. No tricks. No serums. Just strategies, exercises and improvements. Look better, feel better, regain your confidence. 3-month class.

  3. 03

    Nordic Walking

    Nordic Walking is a full-body exercise to improve posture, upper body strength, cardiovascular health and burn more calories than with regular walking. Learn and practice a sport enjoyed by adults around the world. Then, savor the pleasure and satisfaction of Nordic Walking for fitness, fun, balance and health. 7-week class offered through YMCA, Arcadia Branch includes training on walking local trails.

  4. 04

    Personal Training

    One-hour, individual session that addresses any areas of weakness while enhancing strengths to promote progression and avoid a plateau. Personal Training sessions draw from three classes outlined above to improve overall fitness including agility, neuro-muscular connection, and reaction time to prevent falls and boost performance. Special focus on feet, ankles, wrists and hands available.

Individual training also available at LaGrua and at Forget me Not.

Walk With Me Wednesdays

Walk for fun and practice, with friends, and to be outdoors in nature. Thirty minute walks held at 9:30 a.m., on alternate Wednesdays, in various nearby locations.
